Can you guess what the number one fitness trend worldwide was in 2021? Online training. With gyms and other sports facilities closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, millions of people logged on and did their workouts at home. Here at KBPT, we moved fully online for a while and our clients loved it! It’s a trend that’s here to stay.
If you want to smash your fitness goals in 2022, the KBPT team is here to help you find the right kind of workout for you – either online or face-to-face. If you’ve not yet found a way to exercise that you really enjoy, let’s start with a few quick questions…
What did you love doing as a child?
Whether you were a ballerina, a BMXer or a basketball player, tapping into your favourite childhood activities could really help to motivate you now. If you loved going out on your bike, why not take up cycling again? If you’re more into team sports, could you join a local football or netball club? Or if you prefer something more holistic, how about yoga? Here at KBPT, we can tap into what you enjoy and offer a range of specialisms, including boxing training and triathlon training – find out more on our website.
Do you need someone to help keep you motivated?
We all have the best intentions but we know it can be really hard to stick to New Year’s resolutions, especially when it comes to our health and fitness. That’s where the KBPT team can make a massive difference. We’ll work with you to create a bespoke personal training plan that has short-term and long-term goals to keep you focused and having fun. Find out what some of our clients say about us in this blog.
How much time can you commit to exercising?
It’s really important that you’re honest about this. If you have a busy job or a young family, your time is probably limited. But that doesn’t mean you can’t achieve great results! We’d recommend an hour’s personal training session with KBPT each week plus two other workouts. Put these workouts in your diary and stick to them, just as you would a work meeting or a night out. You might find our blog about building healthy new habits useful.
What kind of goals should you put in place?
It’s often said that any goals you set should be SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely). ‘Walking 10,000 steps a day’ is a good example of this. We recommend that you write down your fitness goals and remember, they don’t have to be solely about your physical health – think about how you can improve your mental wellbeing too. You can find some of the KBPT team’s favourite mood-boosting resources in this blog.
So, as we head into the new year, we hope you’re feeling positive and re-energised. We’re excited to see what 2022 brings and we’re here to help you make it your healthiest year ever!
