Eggs are important for our health as they are a very good source of high quality protein. Whole eggs are among the most nutritious foods on the planet, containing a little bit of almost every nutrient you need.

Health benefits of eggs include:

  • Omega-3 enriched and/or pastured eggs are even healthier.
  • Eggs are a rich source of vitamin B6, B12 and D.
  • They have minerals such as iron, zinc and copper.

Three ways you can enjoy your eggs.

Feta and sun-dried tomato scrambled eggs, yummy. More than half the protein of an egg is found in the egg white along with vitamin B2 and lower amounts of fat than the yolk.

Poached eggs with avocado on sourdough.  Overall, shorter and lower-heat cooking methods cause less oxidation of cholesterol and help retain most of the nutrients in the eggs.

An Omelete packed with veggies is a nutritious breakfast and will give you energy to start your day right. Omelettes are super versatile and can be paired with veggies like mushrooms, tomatoes , spinach and onions.
