I am the founder of KBPT and have been qualified as a personal trainer for 6 years. I have my TRX, VIPR, elite Hatton boxing coaching, advanced kettlebells, pre and post natal, beamfit, Vibe spin and barefoot running qualifications. Despite wanting to train everyone in East London, to ensure our clients get the highest service I have recruited 8 fantastic level 3 qualified trainers to work alongside me. These girls are nothing short of amazing. Each trainer joined the girlgang naturally which is the perfect way to grow.
I worked with Hayley in the charity sector pre personal training days and jumped at the chance of her joining KBPT once I had heard she’d qualified. Hayley comes from a strong background of netball, cross country and athletics in her younger years, whilst her hobbies include skiing and horse riding. She is a distance runner and has run numerous marathons. Hayley is also into long distance cycling and recently has started competing in triathlons with her triathlon club. Hayley has her pre and post natal, GP exercise referral and postural analysis qualifications.
Mia was recommended by someone in our East London network. As soon as I met her I knew she was a perfect KBPT trainer. Mia comes from a strong swimming, dancing and martial arts background. She was a member of a youth hip hop team and taught hip hop classes. Following in her Mums footsteps she taught aerobics and post art school trained as a PT. After moving to work in boutique gyms in West London Mia realised she was defo an East Londoner at heart, moved back to Hackney and joined the girlgang.
Nicola joined our charity 3 peak challenge team and got inspired to go to personal training college and join our team! Nicola comes from a strong distance running and cycling background. Nicola has competed in many running, cycling and duathlon events. Nicola managed her own netball team for years and ensured they won the league. Nicola has her pre and post natal, postural analysis, Thump boxing, TRX, kettlebell master course and spin qualifications and is currently training for her sports massage qualification.
Rowena was a great introduction through a friend. She comes from a dance background specialising in ballet, contemporary and salsa. Rowena worked for many years in corporate gym prior to joining KBPT. As well as being an amazing PT Rowena is also a member of Pexava dance group. Rowena has her pre and post natal, animal flow, yoga for fitness and lower back pain qualifications. She is also a parkour specialist and qualified pilates teacher.
Emily and I met in India, on a surf and yoga retreat. Her Dad was a rugby coach so Emily played rugby from a young age. She went on to play netball, hockey and run for her county. After uni she moved to the mountains and became a snowboard instructor as well as getting into downhill mountain biking and trail running. Returning to the city Emily got into boxing and free weights which led her to her PT qualification. Distance trail running, wild swimming and surfing are Emily’s main sports at the moment. Emily coaches for northface and specialises in mountain fitness.
I met Caroline teaching classes and felt like I had known her forever in five minutes. Caroline comes from a performing arts background so grew up dancing then went onto Brit school. She trained as an exercise to music instructor, to do alongside her acting career. Her PT qualification came shortly after. Caroline has her pre and post natal, Thump boxing, advanced kettlebells, spin and sup fit qualifications and is also a qualified pilates teacher.
I was introduced to Gemma through a friend. I wasn’t looking for another PT but she was too good to miss out on!! Gemma played for Dagenham girls football team as she grew up. She then took up kick boxing. Gemma got into functional exercise and heavy lifting after uni. Gemma worked in graphic design before she decided to follow her passion and become a PT. Gemma is pre and post natal and GP referral qualified.
I was Laurens personal trainer when she came to the UK. Lauren was a division one athlete in lacrosse back in the States. Sadly she got injured and changed paths becoming an actress. I met her when she was at drama school in London. Wanting to do something alongside acting she became a trainer and joined the girlgang. Lauren has now moved away from acting and is now well known in the world of burlesque. Lauren has her pre and post natal, Thump boxing, advanced kettlebell, VIPR, TRX and postural analysis and corrective exercise qualifications as well as being a qualified nutritionist.
