Workout Wednesday Level Two – Core:
3 Exercises using a 6/8/10kg kettlebell
Exercise One (Top) – Sit up into overhead kettlebell extension
*do not let the kettlebll or your feet touch the floor unless you need to rest
*do not lock the elbows
*contract your abs before you crunch
Exercise Two (Middle) – Sit Up holding kettlebell into russian twist
*have both feet facing forward with a slightly gap inbetween
*contract your abs before you sit up
*rotate fully to each side in your twist
Exercise Three (Bottom) – 2 toe taps with kettlebell into a leg raise
*ensure your bum is on the floor and your legs are up in a right angle
*do not let your lower back come off the floor in your leg raise
*ensure you are contracting your abs not using your neck muscles
Timings – 45 seconds on and 15 seconds rest – 3 times round of each exercise.
Progression – Work up to 1 min work and minimal rest.
