So…. My first blog! Thought I’d tell you a bit about myself. My name’s Kate and I live in Bethnal Green, East London. Originally from Surrey I love the vibe in East London and have been happy to nest here.
So just before I turned 30 I had a now or never moment and quit my position as a Head of Department in the top Media Recruitment Consultancy in the West End to go to college and become a Personal Trainer, I haven’t looked back since.
After doing a lot of dance when I was young, I hit my teenage years and used every excuse in the book to get out of PE at school and I was far too interested in boys, dancing on podiums and having a good time to even let exercise cross my mind! However things changed in 2000. After returning from working for a club in Ibiza I joined a company which gave us free gym membership. There was a boy who worked there who was seriously hot. He went to the gym so therefore pretending I was also into it I followed! I started doing classes and discovered I loved it. I then started experimenting in the gym, starting to run 5k’s and doing long cycle rides. Now I have run marathon’s, completed 5 hour spinning classes and done long distance cycle rides and I can’t believe how much I love it.
I am a Personal Trainer but I’m not a saint. It is about finding a balance rather than living on rice cakes and never drinking alcohol! I love exercise so I want to help others enjoy it too. When you achieve your goals it’s such an amazing feeling. Coming from a sales background I have always over achieved my targets and now I find it so much more rewarding helping people to achieve theirs.
So my blog is going to contain top tips, yummy low fat recipes, updates of life as a female personal trainer in East London and guest blogs from specialists in the their fields.
